Focus on Town Centres

South Harrow

A vibrant and bustling community of

different people and cultures is reflected

in the exotic selection of shops,

grocers and restaurants offering the

best in European, Middle Eastern,

Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.

Stanmore

Stanmore Broadway has excellent

shopping facilities and is served

by the Jubilee Line tube. Based

within a popular residential area,

Stanmore town centre has numerous

small restaurants and cafés, various

specialist niche food shops, and a

handful of boutique-style clothing and

shoe stores, as well as the popular

high street. It also has a thriving

evening economy.

Wealdstone

Due to its direct transport links to

London, Wealdstone has developed

into a bustling mix of shops, cafés

and restaurants. It offers an excellent

library and is closely located to

Harrow’s main leisure centre.

Pinner

Pinner’s historic High Street sells

everything from wooden toys to

wedding hats and offers stalls selling

fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables

at Pinner’s weekly farmers’ market.

The annual fair held in summer is the

only street fair left in Middlesex and

was originally founded for the sale

of animals and other goods. It is

now wholly a pleasure fair, visited

annually by over 40,000 people.
